I’m a holistic health coach and I help busy professional women put themselves first so they can lose weight, cultivate self-compassion, and feel their best at the office and in their free time.


These days I’m a certified health coach and speaker, and despite a busy schedule, I choose to prioritize my health and happiness. Because of that, feeling energized, relaxed, and productive is my baseline, it’s my way of being!

But it wasn’t always like this. In my former career as an art director for TV shows like American Idol and The Voice, I dedicated my life to my job and the stress completely consumed me.

I was working 12-14 hour work days, 7 days a week, and it was constantly go, go, go. Even after leaving work and returning home (a place I should have felt relaxed), I couldn’t turn it off – the to-dos, the frantic thoughts, the fear of failure, would continue to cycle through my head creating a negative feedback loop of self doubt and anxiety.

By giving everything I had to my job, I had nothing left for me.

Because of it, I was constantly exhausted, my brain often felt stuck in a cloud of fog, my body ached, I was cranky with my friends and coworkers, and I was quickly gaining weight. The never-ending stress of work fueled my emotional eating compulsion, which only worsened the negative body image I’d wrestled with my entire life. I felt embarrassed and miserable and I had begun hating this job I was trying so hard to succeed in.

On top of that, I didn’t have healthy ways to cope with stress. I’d either eat my feelings in the form of candy, cookies, and donuts or I’d bottle up my stress to the point of a meltdown, hyperventilating and having an anxiety attack in a bathroom stall.

I wasn’t healthy and I wasn’t happy.

It was then I asked myself, “Is this really who I want to be? Am I truly successful if it’s costing me my health and happiness?”

I realized that I needed take care of myself. Because no one else was going to.

When I invested in my health and wellness, everything changed. I started setting boundaries, saying no, and leaving work when I was given the chance instead of being a martyr. I began taking care of my body and mind, eating real, whole foods, spending more time in nature hiking and camping (something that brings me such joy), and I began working with a coach to develop healthier stress management strategies. And because of this self care, I became more relaxed, more confident, I started losing weight, and I became much happier.

Putting myself first changed the way I showed up at work and in my life and that had a powerful ripple effect.

And in fact, I got so good at self care, that I chose my own health and happiness over my 6-figure art directing career, and because of this, everyday I get to help busy women like you put themselves first so they too can feel energized, vibrant, and be the best versions of themselves at work and in life.

“My pain levels have significantly decreased and my mobility has increased…”

I had never struggled with health and diet until few years ago when I hit some roadblocks that severely threw me off my routine of gym time and healthy diet. I was in a place where I no longer enjoyed food, in fact, simply talking about food irritated me. I had also put myself on the back burner when it came to getting in any physical activity. To complicate things even further, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that had me at a high level of chronic pain. I knew I had to do something about my situation.

Contacting Ellen is a decision I will never regret. Through our work together I was able to rehabilitate my relationship with food. It took several sessions but to my surprise it happened. I overcame my…. one could say “great distaste” for grocery shopping (as it can be overwhelming). I’ve gained new skills that have helped me reconnect with the feeling of good healthy food nourishing my body. And incorporating light activity back into my hectic schedule has been amazing. As a result of these lifestyle changes, I’ve lost 8 lbs, which is an added bonus because I was not expecting to lose weight.

This brings me to my autoimmune disease. I receive a medication injection every two weeks. Though the injection is supposed to relieve symptoms for a full two weeks, mine was only lasting a week to week and a half before I was in pain again. In the middle of my time with Ellen I noticed my medication was beginning to last the full two weeks! My pain levels have significantly decreased and my mobility has increased. I strongly believe that making these changes in my diet and lifestyle has helped my body process/metabolize the medication better, and I feel much better because of it!
